Snow is in the forecast again this weekend, but don’t despair.  MetroParks is ready to help you enjoy and embrace it with Night Time Sledding at Chill Hill, Voice of America MetroPark, located at 7850 VOA Park Drive, West Chester, Ohio 45069.

For the 2019 sled riding season, when adequate snowfall and temperatures warrant the activity of night time sled riding and conditions are expected to provide enough snow cover on Chill Hill at Voice of America MetroPark, the park system will offer night time sled riding on Friday and Saturday nights during the winter months, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.  Sundays will also be offered when the day precedes a national holiday, such as Martin Luther King Day and President’s Day.  Weekday night time sled riding may arise but only when schools are on Winter Break.

All night time sled riding opportunities will be announced on MetroParks website at and/or MetroParks Facebook page.

Beginning at 5:00 pm when the night time fun begins you will also be able to warm up by a cozy fire pit in between runs.  The fire will be ready and waiting for you at the base of Chill Hill!  Additionally, depending on the volume of activity on Chill Hill the Ronald Reagan Lodge staff may also be offering hot food and beverages for purchase.

Always check MetroParks website and/or Facebook page each time before you bundle the family up, put your sleds in the car, and head over to Chill Hill at night to be certain that sledding will be offered that evening.

Other than that, be safe, enjoy, and embrace the snow!
