MetroParks Operations Team has been working diligently to ensure that parks are ope. en, clean, and safe for winter nature observing and walking after Winter Storm Harper and now the cold weather causing trail sections to cover with heavy ice.

At Forest Run MetroPark, the Timberman Ridge Area,  located at 1976 Timberman Road, Hamilton, OH 45013,  the parking areas and 1.3 mile multipurpose paved path has been plowed and are open; however, there are still a number of areas that remain coated with ice due to the nature of Winter Storm Harper.  Please take caution if you head out to walk the paths today and/or tomorrow.

The Great Miami River Trail that traverses through Rentschler Forest MetroPark at the Reigart Road Area and Line Hill Mound Area Walk/Run/Bike Trails accessible at 5701 Reigart Road, Fairfield Township, OH 45011 has been plowed and is open.  As is true for any plowed  trail please be cautious regarding areas that may melt and refreeze due to low temperatures.

The Meadow Ridge Area of Elk Creek MetroPark located at 5101 Circle Parkway, Middletown OH 45042 is CLOSED today as the paved paths are covered with heavy ice.
Voice of  America MetroPark walking paths located at 7850 VOA Park Drive, West Chester, OH 45069 have been plowed and salted and are open for your enjoyment!

The Great Miami River Trail at near the 122 Bridge in Middletown is closed due to high water and heavy ice
