'Tis the season for holiday decorating, and with it inevitably comes the frustration of dealing with damaged and old lights. Did you know that instead of tossing those lights into the trash, you can recycle them for free with MetroParks? In partnership with Cohen Recycling, MetroParks will recycle your old and unused lights from December 1, 2021-February 1, 2022. Light recycling bins can be found at the following park locations:

-The Meadow Ridge Area of Elk Creek MetroPark: Bin located near the Meadow Ridge Shelter
-Rentschler Forest MetroPark: Bin located in front of the Ranger Station
-The Timberman Ridge Area of Forest Run MetroPark: Bins located near the parking area at the Timberman Ridge Trail trailhead
-Voice of America MetroPark: Bins located in the breezeway of the Ronald Reagan Lodge/VOA Welcome Center
