As part of the strategic planning process, MetroParks of Butler County gathered input to better understand community priorities and opportunities for the park system's future. Using feedback gathered through a statistically valid community survey, public engagement opportunities, stakeholder interviews, and other outreach efforts in 2025, we developed this draft Strategic Plan to help guide the future of MetroParks.

Redback Salamander Trail Out and Back Only

The Redback Salamander Trail at Salamander Run MetroPark is out and back only due to a downed tree.
USA Triathlon Youth & Jr. Championships at Voice of America MetroPark 7/31-8/2

The USA Triathlon Youth & Jr. Championships will take place at Voice of America MetroPark 7/31-8/2. The park will be open to event participants and spectators only during regular park hours.
VOA Athletic Complex Parking Lot Restriping

Sebald MetroPark Playground Closure

Sycamore Grove Trail

The Sycamore Grove Trail at Governor Bebb MetroParks has reopened to the public. The trail is non-ADA accessible until gravel replacement work can be completed.
MetroParks Cashless Beginning 1/1/26

MetroParks is keeping it cashless beginning 1/1/26. Credit and debit cards are welcome at MetroParks' Administrative Office and Voice of America MetroPark Welcome Center. Cash will still be accepted for on-site program registration.
