    The horse trails located within the Sebald Park Area of Elk Creek MetroPark have closed for the season. The horse trails will reopen April 16, 2022.

  • Great Miami River Trail Closure-122 Bridge to Columbia Trailhead

    Due to high water, the Great Miami River Trail (GMRT) is closed from the 122 bridge near River Center (120 South Carmody Blvd. Middletown, OH 45044) , to the Columbia Trailhead (26 N. Carmody Blvd. Middletown, OH 45044). This alert will be removed from the website when flooding has subsided and cleanup efforts are complete.   • Possible intermittent closures of the Black Covered Bridge near the Mill Race Preserve Area of Four Mile Creek MetroPark

    The Black Covered Bridge, which serves as the primary access point to the Mill Race Preserve Area of Four Mile Creek MetroPark may be closed intermittently over the next several weeks for scheduled maintenance. MetroParks apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, and thanks you for your patience. This alert will be removed from the MetroParks website when maintenance has been completed.

  • Great Miami River Trail: Trenton Trailhead to River Center Closure

  • Phase Three Closure at Gilmore MetroPark for Utility Relocation and Miami 2 Miami Trail Project

    The Bilstein Boulevard Entrance to Gilmore MetroPark, and the portion of the Wetlands Trail west of the South Pond Overlook will be closed effective November 22, 2021.   • Phase One Reopening at Gilmore MetroPark

    The Gilmore Road Entrance to Gilmore MetroPark has reopened effective November 2, 2021. The southwestern portion of Gilmore MetroPark remains closed effective July 26, 2021 until Fall of 2022. These closures are for the City of Hamilton Utility Relocation and Miami 2 Miami Trail Projects. Please see the “news” section for details and maps of the closure areas.

  • Temporary closure of a section of the Pumpkin Vine Trail-Rentschler Forest MetroPark

    Effective October 27, 2021 the west end of the Pumpkin Vine Trail located in the Reigart Road Area of Rentschler Forest MetroPark will be temporarily closed to park visitors to facilitate foot bridge construction. The expected duration of this closure is through December 31, 2021, but completion of construction and re-opening of the trail is weather dependent.

  • Great Miami River Trail Construction to Begin – Timberhill Area of Rentschler Forest MetroPark and Unpaved Portion of Great Miami River Trail to Close

    Starting August 16, 2021, the Timberhill Area of Rentschler Forest MetroPark and the unpaved portion of the Great Miami River Trail (GMRT) connecting Timberhill to Reigart Road will close for construction of the Great Miami River Trail Extension project. The closure is expected to last until June 2022.

  • Gilmore MetroPark Closures - Beginning July 26, 2021

    The Gilmore Road Entrance to Gilmore MetroPark will be closed July 26, 2021 through October 29, 2021.
