Woodsdale MetroPark Trail Conditions
Several of Woodsdale MetroPark's trails are muddy or may be impassible due to standing water.
Established in 2024, MetroParks of Butler County's Community Grant program provides grant funding to local political subdivisions and 501(c)(3) organizations that offer public access to Butler County parks and outdoor recreational opportunities. Organizations may apply for up to $5,000 to improve outdoor recreational facilities.
Applications are closed for the 2026 Community Grant Program. Stay tuned for more information on the 2027 application process in Spring 2027.

-City of Oxford Parks & Recreation: $5,000 for baseball field netting replacement at TRI Community Park
-Fairfield Township: $5,000 for outdoor seating improvements at Hero's Park
-Madison Township: $5,000 for new benches along paved walking paths at Madison Township Community Park
-Morgan Township: $4,620 for picnic tables and benches at Morgan Township Community Park
-Ross Township: $4,760 for park gate replacement and playground mulching at Venice Gardens Park

-Bull's Run Nature Sanctuary and Arboretum: $5,000 for bridge and railroad tie repairs and replacements
-Liberty Township: $5,000 for Thomin Park signs and picnic tables

-St. Clair Township: $4,900 for mulch replacement at Overpeck Park & Playground
-Three Valley Conservation Trust: $5,000 for additional parking spaces at Ruder Preserve
Metropark Alerts
Great Miami River Trail Closures - 9/14 & 9/15
The Great Miami River Trail at Rentschler Forest MetroPark will be closed from the park entrance at Reigart Rd to Canal Road September 14 - 15 for blacktop repair work.
Portions of GMRT Closed
Due to flooding, portions of the GMRT are currently closed. The following GMRT trailheads are closed until water recedes:
Flyer lot/trailhead down to the Trenton lot/trailhead terminus to the south
Portion of Cascades Trail Closed
A portion of the Cascades Trail at Rentschler Forest MetroPark is closed due to fallen limbs.
Timberhill MetroPark Camp Trails Closure
The Camp Trails at Timberhill MetroPark are closed due to downed limbs.
Sycamore Grove Trail
The Sycamore Grove Trail at Governor Bebb MetroParks has reopened to the public. The trail is non-ADA accessible until gravel replacement work can be completed.
MetroParks Cashless Beginning 1/1/26
MetroParks is keeping it cashless beginning 1/1/26. Credit and debit cards are welcome at MetroParks' Administrative Office and Voice of America MetroPark Welcome Center.
Cash will still be accepted for on-site program registration.
Sebald MetroPark Closures
The Ridge Trail at Sebald MetroParks is closed due to trail rerouting work.
Voice of America MetroPark Cross Country Trail Closures
Portions of the Voice of America MetroPark Cross Country Trails will be closed for trail rerouting work. Trail closures will be marked with signs and barricades.
