MetroParks Overview & History
MetroParks of Butler County offers residents in the county and surrounding areas, outdoor space, and recreation at 12 parks and approximately 5,000 acres across the county. MetroParks began in 1955, when a group of concerned citizens came together with the common purpose to preserve and restore natural areas in Butler County and formed the Butler County Park Board. Today, park customer/owners can take joy in leisure and recreational activities happening park wide.
We offer a periodic newsletter with information about upcoming events and programs.
