Governor Bebb MetroPark

Governor Bebb MetroPark consists of 262 acres of woods, meadows, fields, and streams in Morgan Township, providing habitat for wildlife and a setting for recreation, as well as, a glimpse of earlier times. Activity areas include a reconstructed Pioneer village, covered bridge, picnic sites, a covered picnic shelter, hiking trails, playground, and creeking areas. Reservable campsites, including the Murstien Group Cabin, are available for individuals and groups.

For some time MetroParks has been working on a preliminary master plan for Governor Bebb MetroPark, located in Morgan Township at 1979 Bebb Park Lane, Okeana, OH 45053.

A first draft plan was prepared in September 2020 and public comment was sought throughout October. Now, a second draft has been prepared in response to those comments. Please help us to refine the plan further by viewing it and sharing what you like and dislike about the plan using our short survey that you may access by clicking on the link below.

As you review the plan we would like you to consider that most Butler County residents must drive about 30 minutes to reach Governor Bebb MetroPark. The main goal of the plan is to make Governor Bebb MetroPark into a regional destination park, providing activities and amenities that will make it worth the drive to visit the park.

As with all of our park master plans, the plan is intended to show potential enhancements that could occur over the next ten years. Implementation of these enhancements is subject to available funding balanced with other MetroParks priorities.

The Preliminary Master Plan illustrates general park enhancement concepts and locations. The final location and configuration of trails and other improvements are subject to change. Place names are suggested and not official.

We will be accepting comments through January 3, 2021.
