The Great Miami River Trail is now closed from the Trenton Trailhead (50 Oxford State Rd., Middletown OH 45044) to River Center (120 South Carmody Blvd., Middletown OH 45044) due to work being completed by Duke.

- Shelter reservations are daily from 8 a.m. to dusk with the exception of the Gazebo at Voice of America MetroPark, which offers reservations, all day, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., or 2 p.m. - Dusk.
- Cost of each shelter varies depending upon the date requested and shelter reserved. Butler County residents qualify for discounted shelter reservations.
- When reserved, there will be a “Reserved” sign on the shelter indicating that the shelter has been reserved for the day.
- All shelters are equipped with picnic tables and a grill.
- There is no electric at the shelters, unless specified.
- No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the parks.
- Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6' in length. Please clean up after your pets.
- Motor Vehicle Permit Required, FREE to Butler County Residents. Non-Residents $8/day or $15/annually. A Group Motor Vehicle Permit for non-Butler County residents can be purchased in advance with your reservation for $25. (A Group MVP is included with reservations of the Gazebo at Voice of America MetroPark.)

2022 Gilmore MetroPark Closures
Closures are in effect at Gilmore MetroPark to facilitate the Miami 2 Miami Trail construction project at Gilmore. For updates on current closures at the park, visit the "News" section of the MetroParks website.
Temporary closure of a section of the Pumpkin Vine Trail-Rentschler Forest MetroPark
Effective October 27, 2021 the west end of the Pumpkin Vine Trail located in the Reigart Road Area of Rentschler Forest MetroPark will be temporarily closed to park visitors to facilitate foot bridge construction. The expected duration of this closure is through December 31, 2021, but completion of construction and re-opening of the trail is weather dependent.
Great Miami River Trail Construction to Begin – Timberhill Area of Rentschler Forest MetroPark and Unpaved Portion of Great Miami River Trail to Close
Starting August 16, 2021, the Timberhill Area of Rentschler Forest MetroPark and the unpaved portion of the Great Miami River Trail (GMRT) connecting Timberhill to Reigart Road will close for construction of the Great Miami River Trail Extension project. The closure is expected to last until June 2022.
