Coming Soon: Davidson Woods MetroPark
Davidson Woods MetroPark is a 168-acre natural area in Hanover Township along Four Mile Creek. Acquired by MetroParks in 2007, the property has remained largely untouched by modern agriculture and contains some of the largest remaining acreage of old-growth forest in Butler County. Visitors can explore wooded trails, access Four Mile Creek, and enjoy a scenic overlook with an ADA-accessible trail.
The park’s opening was made possible in part through American Rescue Plan Act funding from the Butler County Commissioners and a Clean Ohio grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission, which helped fund the access improvements needed to welcome visitors to this special natural area. Davidson Woods will open to the public on October 22, 2026.
Davidson Woods MetroPark Grand Opening
Davidson Woods MetroPark will officially open to the public on October 22nd at 2 p.m.
Please note: Due to very limited parking at Davidson Woods, only a few parking spaces will be available for members of the general public at the 2 p.m. grand opening. If the parking area is full when you arrive, please plan to visit the park after October 22nd!
