MetroParks of Butler County Opens Applications for 2026 Community Grant Program
MetroParks of Butler County is now accepting applications for the 2026 Community Grant Program, which provides funding to Butler County non-profits and political subdivisions that offer publicly accessible outdoor recreation opportunities. Organizations may apply for up to $5,000 for improvements to outdoor recreation areas and facilities. Applications are due by Wednesday, June 17th.
Established in 2024 through a generous anonymous estate gift, the Community Grant Program helps expand access to parks, trails, playgrounds, and other outdoor recreational amenities throughout the county.
“Our Community Grant Program continues to support meaningful projects that enhance outdoor spaces and improve quality of life across Butler County,” said Jackie O’Connell, Executive Director of MetroParks of Butler County.
The 2025 grant recipients include:
- Bull's Run Nature Sanctuary and Arboretum: bridge and railroad tie repairs and replacements
- Liberty Township: updated signs and picnic tables at Thomin Park
- Miami University Regionals: bench swings at regional campuses
- St. Clair Township: mulch replacement at Overpeck Park & Playground
- Three Valley Conservation Trust: additional parking and access at Ruder Preserve
