The disappearing nine patch quilt block is a quick, beginner-friendly quilting technique that transforms a simple 9-patch block into a complex-looking design. In our workshop, you will learn the technique and can create a block of your own. This event is for confident beginner sewists. Ages 8+ (children under 18 must be accompanied by a paid adult)

Experience Nature in a Blink, a year-long series in which MetroParks offers opportunities to appreciate fleeting seasonal natural occurrences. One of the biggest meteor showers every year, the Perseids peak in the early morning hours on the night of August 12. With the new moon, we might just see some shooting stars! Enjoy this warm summer evening under the stars in your park after dark. This program will only take place if the weather is clear; please check for cancellation on our website and social media the day of the program to verify. Registration required.
