  • Nature Explorers - Tracks and Traces

    Find the fun side of nature when you become a Nature Explorer. This summer-long series shows you unique ways to get hands-on experience with nature and explore your favorite MetroParks. Ever wondered what animals were hiding at MetroParks or your own backyard? Solve that mystery when you learn to decode the Tracks and Traces in Nature. Test your skills of observation on the Unnatural Trail, create your own guide to animal tracks, and then practice using your guide on the trail. Registration required. Free for school-aged participants and their adults.

  • Make and Take Crafting

    Summer flies by too fast. Come join us on the farm for some crafting as we anticipate the new school year. We will make bookmarks, pencil cups, pencil toppers, and Back-To-School Time Capsules. Participants must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 3-9

  • ID70: Trees

    August 08, 2025 7:00pm - 8:00pm

    Celebrate MetroParks' 70th Anniversary as we reveal our 70 favorite elements of the park experience. From the fossil-filled creeks to the tops of the towering trees and constellations beyond, get an inside view of what makes the history and nature of your MetroParks so unique. Every ID70 program in 2025 spotlights seven interesting subjects in each category; attend all ten to add 70 new pieces of park and nature knowledge to your collection. Nevermind seeing the forest for the trees, do you even stop to appreciate the trees? By bark, leaves, or buds, MetroParks outdoor educators will show you the tricks to identifying seven of our favorite trees. Registration required. Free for all participants.
