Is This Your Christmas Ornament?

Feb 12, 2026, 15:13 PM by Katie Ely-Wood

MetroParks of Butler County's Natural Resources & Conservation team has recovered a few ornaments forgotten on recycled Christmas trees. Can you help us get them back to their owners?

Our team processed a record 479 live trees this year, keeping hundreds of pounds of organic matter out of the landfill. Residents did a fantastic job of removing ornaments and decorations from the trees before bringing them to MetroParks to be chipped, and only a few ornaments were missed!

Do you recognize a beloved decoration below? If so, give MetroParks a call at (513) 867-5835 to reclaim a treasured part of your holiday season.
