Elk Creek Connector Road Opens at Meadow Ridge MetroPark
Orange autumn leaves have replaced orange construction barrels at Meadow Ridge MetroPark in Madison Township. Phase One of the Elk Creek Connector Road opened on October 28th for public use.
This ¾ mile roadway provides improved access to the north end of the park, including the North Pond, Twin Lakes Trail, and Dave's Trace. Two accessible parking areas allow hikers, bicyclists, and anglers to enjoy all that Meadow Ridge MetroPark has to offer.
Thanks to the Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program for providing a $739,275 grant to assist in funding this park improvement, first envisioned on a 2018 master plan.
MetroParks of Butler County plans to complete the Elk Creek Connecter Road to Sebald MetroPark in 2025. Once completed, visitors will be able to travel easily between the two parks.
